What does one program pass include?
Each program listed is priced for the program only. The program is defined as multiple modules designed around badge requirements. This also includes testing and grading of each module in order to sign off Blue Cards. The Blue Cards are needed to obtain your merit badge. Lunch and lodging are separate costs.
How do I sign up my troop?
Complete and submit the form in the link above. For any inquiries, please email [email protected] or call 315-891-3099. Upon submission, an invoice and confirmation email will be sent to the primary contact. Information packets will be sent as well with more details pertinent to the specific program. Payments can be made digitally or upon arrival. Cash or cards are accepted.
What supplies should I bring?
Your program ticket grants access to all modules and necessary supplies. Need a hammer for mining? Rent one at the registration building. Rentals are first-come-first-serve and require a license until return. Chisel, shovel & bucket rentals are also available for $5.00 each and a license exchange.
How do scouts receive their Merit Badge/Blue Cards?
Scouts complete worksheets provided by Herkimer Diamond Mines during modules. These worksheets cover topics relevant to badge requirements. Our program staff grades these worksheets, and successful scouts receive a signed blue card for the Geology Merit Badge at the closing ceremony. Troop leaders must provide blue cards to our staff at registration to ensure proper issuance.
How do we pay?
Registration and payment are due upon arrival. We accept cash, and card. Invoices can be sent as well, this is recommended for a fast registration process. Program registration location will be noted in confirmation packets upon sign-up. Upon registration, you’ll receive your program tickets, lunch tickets (if pre-ordered), and a welcome packet containing schedules and group assignments. Scouts will remain grouped with their troop throughout the program.
Where is lunch located?
Pre-order your lunch for convenience. Meals will be available for pick-up at the pavilion during the designated lunchtime. Please ensure you have your lunch ticket provided at program registration ready. Once lunch choices are made during registration, they cannot be switched. Meals offered consist of a smashburger or two hotdogs, with chips and drink. Alternatively, you’re welcome to bring your own lunch.
