April 5th – First Crack – Be the first to dig at our freshly excavated mine! This is the best time to mine with the best odds of leaving with a huge haul! Lunch is included and spots are limited! More info coming soon!
April 5th – First Day of Camping – The KOA Campground’s first day open!
April 6th – Mines Open – The Herkimer Diamond Mines first day open to the public! This includes our gift shop, the Trading Post.
May 11th – Care Kamp Weekend – Stay with us on May 10th – 11th and a portion of the site cost will be donated to the KOA Care Camps!
May 12th – Mother’s Day Brunch – More information coming soon.
May 25th – Celebrating Our Patriotism Themed Weekend – Celebrate the weekend with us by attending one of our many patriotic themed activities on the campground! Partake in our costume contests or site decorating contests for even more excitement!
June 14th – Float with us Father’s Day Weekend – Join us in honoring fathers with a weekend filled with riverside relaxation. Float along the serene waters, enjoy family bonding, and create lasting memories.
June 21st – Schools Out for Summer Extravaganza Themed Weekend – School’s out, and the fun is in! Kick off summer the right way!. Dive into a whirlwind of activities like games and dance parties, celebrating the freedom of summer break.
July 4th – Party in the U.S.A. Themed Weekend – Embrace the spirit of independence with a star-spangled celebration. Enjoy patriotic themed activities, our bounce house, waterslide and more!
July 8th – Rock, Gem & STEAM Camp Week 1 – Enlist your budding geologist in one of our RGS Camp weeks, offering 3 full days of distinctive learning and fun. Enhance your visit with lodge accommodations, allowing you to unwind while they expand their knowledge! August 1st – Hawaiian Luau Themed Weekend – Aloha! Get ready for a tropical getaway without leaving the campground. Hula your way into a weekend of leis, fruity drinks, and vibrant Hawaiian festivities. Partake site decorating contests for even more fun!
August 23rd – Jurassic Themed Weekend – Unearth the adventurer in you! Roar into a prehistoric world filled with dino-mite activities, fossil hunts, and plenty of rawr-some fun for all ages.
August 28th – Haunted Herkimer Halloween Themed Weekend – Christmas in July? How about Halloween in August! Embrace the spooktacular spirit of Halloween. Trick or treat through the campground and take part in hauntingly delightful activities. Join our costume contest or site decorating contest to elevate the thrill@
September 6th – VKR Reward Card Weekend – A special weekend dedicated to our valued VKR members! Members who camp with us this weekend will camp for free Saturday the 7th!
October 11th – Fall Harvest Festival Themed Weekend – Welcome autumn’s arrival with a bounty of seasonal delights. There will be a cornucopia of fall-themed festivities!
October 22nd – Scout BSA Geology Merit Badge – Participate in our exclusive event designed for troops to meet the requirements essential for earning the Geology Merit Badge.
October 23rd – Scout BSA Mining in Society Merit Badge – For those who have already earned the Geology Merit Badge in any prior year, expand your badge achievements with our newly introduced program. Two unique badges in one weekend, you don’t want to miss this!
